KMS Performance Testing was founded by industry-veteran Kelly Mitchell. Kelly has more than 15 years experience testing and evaluating building enclosure systems for new and existing commercial buildings. Whether you are a developer, building owner, architect, engineer, or contractor, we can assist your project by performing building enclosure testing services for windows, doors, curtain walls, storefronts, air barrier, roofing/waterproofing and masonry wall systems. Using state-of the-art testing and inspection equipment we have extensive experience performing the test protocols of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) & the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

"I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Mitchell for many years on multiple Texas A&M University System capital projects for envelope consulting and testing, forensic analysis, and implementation of envelope repairs. Kelly has provided excellent services on notable projects, such as the Zachry Engineering Education Complex and the historic Francis Hall located in College Station, Texas.

The services Kelly provided as the building envelope inspector was crucial to the success of the Zachry Engineering Education Complex. The original 1972 building came riddled with leaks and the building envelope was a prime concern for the College of Engineering, yet the new building design was focused on bringing natural light into the building. The building features over 67,000 square feet of curtainwall system, 85,000 square feet of roof area, 11,500 square feet of green roof, and over 3,700 square feet of skylight. With Kelly’s expertise and assistance, the building has been a leak free building since substantial completion in 2018.
